Nigerians can be found in almost all the countries of World as we are known to travel far and wide. We not only can survive in which ever country we find ourselves, but become successful in the long run as we often have a high hustling spirit.
In the entertainment industry today, there are several famous world celebrities that are excellent in their arts. People sometimes assume they are black Americans, but the fact remains, some of these actors and musicians are Africans and most especially Nigerians by decent.

Chiwetel Ejiofor has starred in quite a number of movies; ’12 Years A Slave’, ‘Half of A Yellow Sun,’ ‘Deadly Voyage’, ‘Secret In Their Eyes,’ among others. This actor is quite impressive as he has gotten numerous nominations and won several awards. Good work bro.

Born as Olubowale Victor Akintimehin to yoruba parents from Ogun State, Rapper Wale grew up in the USA. He is as popular in the states as he is in his home country and has done music collaborations with singers like Wizkid and Olamide, that’s to show his name is truly Wale ( come home – the literal meaning I must say)
Hakeem Kae-Kazim
Hollywood actor, Kazeem was born in Lagos State and is a native of Ogun State. He has featured in several hit movies such as ‘Hotel Rwandan,’ ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ ‘At World’s End and many TV series including 24, and Criminal Minds. British Singer, Jacob Taio Cruz was born in London to a Nigerian father and a Brazillian mother. His name is Adetayo Ayowale Onile-Ere, he adopted Taio Cruz as his brand name when he ventured into music. He was signed on a publishing deal at the age of 19 and has won several awards including the BRIT Awards, Billboard Music Awards, ASCAP Awards and American Music Awards. The R and B pop singer has done well for himself.
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is one of Nigeria’s best world famous celebrities. This handsome former fashion model of Yoruba origin, and Hollywood actor, is best known for his roles in ‘The Mummy Returns’, ‘Pompeii,’ ‘The Bourne Identity’, and in TV series ‘Lost’ and ‘Oz’. He was born in Washington, D.C to Nigerian parents and is fluent in Yoruba, Italian and Swahili, aside English language. He is one of the few Nigerians making waves in Hollywood, ain’t I proud? I am.
Uzo Aduba
Uzoamaka Nwanneka “Uzo” Aduba is an American actress who is known for her role as Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on the television series ‘Orange Is the New Black’. Her parents are both Nigerians of Igbo origin. she is someone with a stimulating personality who brightens social gatherings with her fresh and original ideas and above all, she is a beauty.
David Oyelowo
Hollywood actor, David Oyelowo was born on April 1, 1976, in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, to Nigerian parents. He grew up in Nigeria and have featured in movies like: ‘The Butler, Small Island, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Middle of Nowhere, Lincoln, and Blood and Oil,’ (a film about Niger-Delta, oil and militancy in Nigeria). He is married with kids.
John Boyega
John is a British-Nigerian who was born in London to Nigerian parents. He is best known for his 2011 film debut ‘Attack the Block’. He also played Ugwu in ‘Half of A Yellow Sun’ and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. This good looking actor started his acting career at age nine but kept it a secret at school and attended acting classes everyday after school since then, now his hard work is paying off.
Sade Adu
American R&B singer, and Grammy award winner, Helen Folasade Adu was born on January 16, 1959 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. When Sade was 11 years old, she moved to Holland-on-Sea, Essex, to live with her mother, then she later moved to London where she studied fashion design at Saint Martin’s School of Art before she started singing. She is best known for her hit song ‘Sweetest Taboo’ and she can be considered a legend in the music industry.
Jidenna
”Classic man crooner”, Jidenna Theodore Mobisson was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin,to Tama Mobisson, an accountant, and Oliver Mobisson, a Nigerian Igbo academic. Jidenna grew up partially in Nigeria, where his father was a professor of Computer Science at Enugu State University. His music is inspired by Nigerian music, specifically the Highlife music genre. He is a very handsome musician and I wonder if he is still single, winks*. He has actually been seen with a beautiful American-Nigerian lady Rosalyn Gold-Onwude at a couple of events.
